Meet Information
Date
Monday, October 21, 2024
Parking
Parking is $10 per vehicle (cash only). There will be no cost of parking for school buses and clearly marked school vehicles (no passes needed). Unmarked school vehicles need to email Alie Angelo (baa029@shsu.edu) prior to 5pm on Friday, October 20 and your name will be placed on a pass list to allow you entrance to the park. Parking lots will open at 6:15 am on the day of competition. In order to reduce traffic congestion, please do not enter park until 2 hours prior to your scheduled race
Packet Pickup
Packets may be picked up from 2:00 to 7:00 pm the day prior to competition @ Kate Barr-Ross Park. Packets may also be picked up the morning of competition, beginning at 7am
Practice Times
The course will be open for inspection from 3:00 to 6:00pm the day prior to competition. Teams are not allowed on the course prior to 2pm on Sunday or Monday.
Bibb Numbers
Numbers, pins and timing chips will be found in each packet. Each number will be assigned to a specific athlete. Please be sure that each athlete’s number is visible on the front of their uniform and the athlete has their assigned chip securely attached to their shoe.

Timing Chips
All timing chips must be returned. Coaches, please make sure that your timing chips are returned to packet pick up for all athletes who are either entered and don’t compete, or who start and do not finish the race.
Team Scoring
Team scores will be computed by totaling the top five runners’ finish positions. The 6th and 7th runners will count as displacers. Teams with less than five runners will not be totaled in the team scores

State Qualifiers
The first 4 teams in each division and the top 10 individuals not already on one of the advancing teams in the regional meet qualify for the state championship
Awards
The awards ceremony will be held on the field adjacent to the starting line according to the awards schedule. Trophies will be presented to the 1 st place team in each division, medals to the team members of the first 3 teams in each division and medals to the top 10 individuals in each division. We will also recognize those outside the top 10 individuals who have also qualified for the state championship along with the 4th place team
